Systems for military platforms
Hardware and embedded software I have built for land platforms, artillery and weapon systems, electro-optical systems and aircraft, without names.
Land platforms
Commander & gunner control grips
Electronics and embedded software for multi-button, ergonomic control grips that let the commander and gunner of turreted armoured vehicles run weapon and sensor systems with one hand.
Axis, trigger and button sensing electronics
Embedded firmware and vehicle-bus communication
Design and testing for military environmental and EMC conditions
Land platforms
Control electronics for tank turrets
Design, integration and verification of the command chain that runs from the grips to the control panel and drive electronics of tank and armoured-vehicle turrets.
Processing of azimuth / elevation commands
Control panel and interface electronics
On-platform integration and acceptance tests
Artillery systems
Howitzer systems
Control electronics and embedded software for howitzers: heavy artillery that fires at high angles to provide indirect fire support to units at the front.
Gunner and control interfaces
Elevation / azimuth command chain
Electronics built to survive firing and harsh field conditions
Weapon systems
Image processing for weapon systems
Real-time embedded image processing that detects and tracks targets in day and thermal camera feeds and overlays information on the image.
Real-time detection and target tracking
Day / thermal video pipelines
AI on resource-constrained hardware
Electro-optical systems
Hand control units for EO/IR systems
Hardware, embedded software, design rules and documentation for hand control units that drive gimbal-type electro-optical and infrared camera systems.
Joystick, button and display interfaces
Serial communication with the camera system
A product family adapted to several platforms
Air platforms
Cockpit controls
Electronics, embedded software and test cases for throttles, stick grips and auto-throttle systems on aircraft and air platforms.
Throttle and stick-grip electronics
Auto-throttle work
Test cases and verification

Smart Manufacturing Execution System with a Wireless Data Tower
A patent-subject current sensor that reads running, ready, off and fault states without touching the machine’s hardware; an IoT Andon Tower that shows the state with light and transmits it wirelessly; and a gateway that collects data from every machine on the floor and forwards it to the factory server.
